Xetonox

The community members of Xetonox first heard about Hug It Forward through a Peace Corp Volunteer who supported the community of Panabajal when they were building their bottle school in 2016. The community of Xetonox has grown a lot and the school was running out of space to provide education for the kids; they did not have a classroom for kindergarten or fifth grade, and they had too many kids in the first grade classroom. The community was provided an additional teacher for the first grade classroom so they could split into two groups, but that still left one group without a classroom.

The addition of the three bottle classrooms will help ensure that there is enough room for all of the students. And the kids in the community are very excited for their new school – the kids alone made 800 eco-bricks for their new school.
