Boqueron (phase II)

Boqueron (phase II)

Members of Boquerón, Quiché let Hug It Forward know that they wanted to improve the learning environment for their increased student enrollment. With 508 students currently enrolled in elementary school, this makes Boquerón one of the biggest schools we’ve worked with. During the first phase of the bottle school project, we were able to help facilitate the replacement of 3 of their original spaces, with larger, brighter and safer classrooms made with eco-bricks. In Phase II we hope to finish 3 classrooms, so that no student have to learn in classrooms made of metal sheets that make teaching and learning very difficult when the weather is very hot or rainy.
