13 May Xepatan (phase II)
This new school comes in response to an urgent need within the community. Following the collapse of several classrooms, local students were forced into makeshift learning environments in old community rooms that lacked basic amenities such as water, toilets, and kitchens. The dispersion of students across these inadequate spaces made it difficult to ensure their safety and effective learning.
Repeated requests for new classrooms from the Ministry of Education and the mayor were met with refusals, citing resource shortages. Faced with this challenge, the community reached out to Hug It Forward for assistance.
Thanks to the support of Hug It Forward, Bottle School #145 has become a reality. This new facility provides a safe and appropriate space for students, ensuring they receive the quality education they deserve. The community has expressed immense gratitude for this support, recognizing the positive impact on their children’s future.
