Xeabaj

Xeabaj is located in the department of Quiché. This is a community of 500 families with 250 children currently enrolled in elementary school. We hope to work with the families and municipality of Joyabaj to help construct 2 new bottle classrooms in Xeabaj. There are 11 teachers teach working with a lack of space and having to teach a couple of grades outside the 9 original classrooms. Our goal is that after the inauguration of their new classrooms, each bottle classroom will hold one grade level, this way none of the children are being taught outside, or taught in classrooms over capacity.
