28 Feb Paquip, Palima
Paquip, which means “place of limes”, is located 16 miles from the center of the Tecpan, Chimaltenango. Paquip is unique in that people here can speak both Mayan languages of K’ich’e and Kaqchikel. Since the community is very far from access to materials, and the rest of the towns in Tecpan, the elementary school is in bad condition. Through the construction of 3 new bottle classrooms, 90 families, 2 teachers and 81 elementary school children will benefit from new spaces for learning.
