Cojomachaj (phase II)

The town of Cojomachaj, San Martín Jilotepeque wrote to Hug It Forward describing the deteriorating conditions of some of their classrooms in the hopes of getting some new bottle classrooms. Thanks to the efforts of this community during their first phase in constructing bottle classrooms, 3 more bottle classrooms will be built to benefit the elementary school students. The original classrooms were made of metal sheets that made learning conditions difficult since they hold a lot of heat inside. Many classes were held outside where it was very windy and dusty.Cojomachaj currently has 18 kindergarten students and 66 elementary students. They have 4 teachers.
