Dear Friends,

Since the beginning, Trinity Custom Builders has recognized the importance of giving back to our community.  Tracy and I have been blessed with a successful home building business for the past 30+ years.  We realize that by becoming involved with deserving charitable organizations we can serve others and make a difference.  We appreciate and thank you for your past support of our charitable projects such as Christmas in April, New Life Children’s Center, Saint Peter’s Orphanage, San Antonio Children’s Center and the Daily Bread Food Bank in Boerne.

Recently, Tracy’s lifelong friend, Gary Schrear introduced us to an organization whose mission is to build schools for deserving children in Guatemala.  Gary has traveled to Guatemala eight times to assist in the construction of schools through Hug It Forward.  After each trip he returned with marvelous stories of his adventures and the positive impact Hug It Forward and the volunteers were able to provide by making a lasting contribution to each village where a new school was built.

Inspired by Gary’s experiences, we wanted to become more interactive with our charitable mission.  In July of this year, the Trinity Team of employees, spouses, and friends traveled to Guatemala to start construction on Hug It Forward’s 135th school.  The countryside was stunningly beautiful and the people welcoming and gracious.  The local residents and children worked side-by-side with us each day.  This school will help provide the education these children so desperately need and deserve.

Hug It Forward not only coordinates the construction of these schools, but provides guidance and teachers to sustain this educational program.  This amazing non-profit organization runs like a well-tuned engine from the moment a new location is selected, to purchasing the construction materials to organizing the volunteer groups.

Our goal, with your help build several schools in 2022.  The cost for a three room school house is $25,000.00.  Please join us in support of this amazing cause and help fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the children of Guatemala.  Reach out to your work associates, school and church groups, family and friends to donate funds or travel back with Tracy and I on a return trip next year.  We promise this will be a fun, rewarding and very special trip of a lifetime.
